ACTUALLY, I DONOT FEEL RECESSION HAS STRUCK OUR COUNTRY IN ANY WAY.

IT IS ONLY THE MENTALITY OF THE MORE CLEVER PROFESSIONALS, WHO WANT TO CREATE A HYPE FOR PERSONAL BENEFITS. AND WITHDUE COURTESY TO OUR POLITICIANS, WHO OFF LATE HAVE BEEN SPINNING MORE COMMERCIAL STORIES THAN THE WHOLE INDIAN CINEMA INDUSTRY.

OUR VISON TOWARDS EUROPE & MIDDLE EAST HAS BEEN SHORT SIGHTED & TOWARDS UNITED STATES MORE ZOOMED IN. HAD WE CONCENTRATED ON THE OTHER SIDE, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER FACED THIS SITUATION.

MOST IMPORTANTLY WE WERE EVER CONCENTRATING ON HELPING UNITED STATES RUN ITS COMPANIES WELL BY OUR SUPPORT IN IT & ITES. WE JUST FORGOT THAT THE INNOVATIVENESS IN US WAS GETTING DRIED UP WITHOUT ANY NEW IDEAS BEING ENCOURAGED IN OTHER SECTORS. HENCE THIS STAURATION.

STRATEGY & EXECUTION ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT TOOLS FOR A SUCCESSFUL ENTERPRISE.

I PERSONALLY FEEL RECESSION IS NOT A DISASTER, BUT AN INVITATION TO INNOVATION.

WE AT WAY2WORLD HAVE BEEN PRIMARILY TRYING TO DO THE SAME. OUR MODUS OPERANDI IS;

1.WE EXPLORE & ENCOURAGE TALENTED YOUNG STUDENTS INTO BEIONG INNOVATIVE.

2.WE EMPOWER THEM WITH ALL BASIC FORMALITIES LIKE, CONSUMER FEEDBACK, BASIC PATENTABILITY OPINION, GOVT PROCEDURES…ETC.

3.WE HELP THEM CONVERT THEIR DREAMS INTO SUCCESSFUL ENTERPRISE.

OUR ORAGNISATION IS OFFERRING FREE SERVICES TO STUDENTS. WE WISH TO GET GOOD RESPONSE FROM ALL AROUND.

Totally true…I wish India IT industry has more Product Oriented mindset.. We are much better to get content with it service related jobs.

First of all, I don’t agree to the fact that US recession did actually hit Indian IT industry (at least to those of which the author is talking about here.. Infy, Wipro and likes). In fact there were some robust US firms which actually increased there spending on outsourcing and fired some of the costly employees in US.
Top Indian IT companies have hundreds of clients and thousands of projects, and 80% of them are always critical to Client (this is not an idiotic world above all!!).. but yes from an entrepreneur point of view its always wise to do smthing on own …

I believe the author wants to say that this “recession” in Indian IT sector was actually a correction, which many others have been saying, and has some merit. But to prove it based on one man’s (one) experience is something only journalists can do! The “lessons” sound much more like “opinions”.

IT being a support function/cost center rather than revenue center would always be prone to budget tightening measures. IMHO, the article is quite a disappointment in its current form. (No offense intended).

This is too extreme an explanation, companies which outsource mostly do it CUT COSTS, it is too improbable that a US or any company focusing on COST CUTTING would try to overspend.

US Companies did overspend, not to make a cut, but in anticipation of growing business and all collapsed with the housing bubble, first banks,customers and so on everything.
