RSS Feed Adoption @ 11%

RSS feeds were supposed to be the ‘html’ of the new web, but it seems the adoption has not yet gone mainstream.

As per Forrester Research, RSS adoption among consumers is at 11% (up from just 2% of users three years ago).

What about the rest 89%? Only 17% say they are interested in using them! (via)

The thing about RSS feed is that it still is a geek’s way of consuming information and needs to be packaged to hit the mainstream.

What’s your take?
