Cyber war between Indian and Pakistani Hackers

The cyber war between Indian and Pakistani hackers (or cyber army?) is in full swing and here is a summary of the hacks in the last few weeks:

  • Pakistani hackers hacked Andhra Pradesh CID website(www.cidap.gov.in),
  • Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) website (http://www.ogra.org.pk/) was hacked by Indian hackers
  • Earlier, Pakistan Cyber Army (PCA) had hacked the websites of ONGC (www.ongcindia.com), Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) (www.iirs.gov.in), Centre for Transportation Research and Management (CTRM) (www.ctram.indianrail.gov.in) and Kendriya Vidyalaya of Ratlam (www.kvrtm.org.in).

Guys, how about some constructive activities?

The websites of Indian institutions seem straight from 1998. Where else would you find sites “optimized for 800*600 for internet explorer 5.5″? Even private colleges have to suck up with badly designed sites hosted like .ac.in. Its high time these sites were modernized into new web standards and better security.

Are technology bloggers succumbing to the mainstream indian media’s malaise of performing like circus artists and speaking in harried, urgent tones as if the world was about to end. It can scarcely be classified as war and the participants called hackers. Dumb reliance on hardware firewalls, legacy un-patched OS’es and webservers, non-updated information and use of proprietary technologies straight from late 90′s are hallmarks of NIC maintained sites. If nobody is inconvenienced by absence of those useless sites because no one visited them when they weren’t ‘cracked’ then why should you and I care.

I worked with Pakistani’s too.. Not all the people wants war.. Infact When I was in London Pakistani people are my batch mates and we worked together on several projects. I would its just the individuals not as pakistani’s or Indians whole..

So take this issue as personal with hackers, if they are hacking yes we got to revert back..

Don’t talk philosophy eye for an eye leads world go blind or whatever ..

Really, who cares? I’m so sick of hearing about both sides of this deface frenzy. The fact that they call this a “war” along with the juvenile comments polluting alot of hacking boards. Comments like “you’ll see” and “your going to be sorry when we hack you” just shows the level these people are on and how unworthy this is to be posted as news. Its not their websites getting hacked and the money isn’t coming out of their pockets. All blogging about these skids does is encourages them. Noone actually cares about this or if you think these pimlpy faced illiterates have political plights, think again. This isn’t hacktivism, its just a bunch of script kiddies who like to ruin sh*t. These aren’t real hackers. They use caned exploits and hack 40 sites in 30minutes. This is not hacking. Oh and the fact that misspellings, ignorance, and stupidity just oozes in every deface you pathetic “wishyouwere” hackers make. Seriously, get a life.

And for those paki’s,indian’s, serbian’s(dumb and uneducated is all the same to me and most people) talking about Peace? lol Yeah whatever you say, lol. You can not stop little kids from breaking things because when there is no accountability. This so called “War” will go on as long as there are pimply faced, immature script kiddies out there.

Anyone can use a canned exploits to root 40 sites in 30min like on HF. You guys are NOT hackers. Hack something worthwhile..something that takes actual skill.
