Hasbro withdraws case against Scrabulous

Hasbro, the owner of Scrabble game has finally decided to withdraw the laqHasbro, Inc.

..agreement “provides people in the U.S. and Canada with a choice of different games and also avoids potentially lengthy and costly litigation (source)

Hasbro earlier filed a lawsuit against Scrabulous citing copyright infringement – the game was taken down from Facebook and the founder then launched Wordscraper.

Was this decision of Hasbro taken under the influence of recession (cost involved in fighting a legal battle).

Moreover FB already dropped the app from it’s site – so what will Hasbro fight for? Few 1000s of dollars?
