wow. The CEO should be fired for this..:D How are they going to ensure security for their clientele?

    2. vb says:

What an irony. The website of biggest IT company of India is hacked. If this can happen with TCS, I am wondering about small players. Smaller companies would be more vulnerable.

This is really a big blot on TCS image.

      • Indian says:

Here, DNS was hijacked at the DNS provider’s side .TCS is back in action as soon as they found the problem. DNS propagation takes time, and it’s not their(TCS’s) fault.

    3. Inde says:

The site is working fine. So the question is when the this screen shot taken? and is it genuine?

    4. Siraj says:

Not yet Restored still displaying For sale :P

    5. Tarun Dua says:

Seems like a case of fraudulent domain transfer or domain control panel cracking as opposed to actual hacking of the tcs.com website. The DNS has been reverted now by the powers that be and should start to resolve back to its original home for everyone soon.
      jotirmoy,
The traditional web companies normally have their CEOs/founders in control of domains, in case of TCS it is likely some bean counter way down the the hierarchy ?

      Hello

This is a tremendous mark in indian IT security sector, every engineering student opting for computers software, and every body learning computers from childhood and many more stories. but still the cinema is same

We all Learn and work for other international companies, even the national top companies failed now, and its a complete fail story for indian computer geeks. We create softwares, we create many things but we dont create security to secure it

and i still know that india to be IT secured country is a long march. Until we all feel shame of our infrastructure and our IT sector ( remember we means WE, every body has the role to play but we play for international clients and get paid by indian companies and thats how our companies and our infrastructure and out security

if WE work for our self and We get paid by our companies then it might be another story

      Let me know your thoughts

      Thanks & Regards

      Sai Pothuri

      • Indian says:

Well , get your facts correct first.

        • sai pothuri says:

lol what ever fact it is, previously its government sites and now technology sites, now tcs can anybody bet on infy, wipro etc etc that they cant be hacked??

Boss what ever the fact is,either dns or some other type of illegal entry into system, they entered and they changed, and we fought all the day to get pages back.

Remember a person who can enter your home illegal for theft can enter any home and security this is where our indian students, and our great IT people who draw lakhs fail to protect our indian sites

          Thanks & Regards

          Sai Pothuri

    10. jyotirmoy says:

See this is the exact reason why Indians should not do products. We are kings who will think of restoring our website only on working days. Why work today when comes tomorrow :-)

      which points to DNS problem…

    15. Alok says:

Its not the tcs.com that is hacked rather DNS server that you are using, like google dns ..change the dns server to
      that of opendns .
      208.67.222.222 or 208.67.222.220
      and it will open fine
