NRN’s Catamaran Fund – Sudha Murthy Sells stocks worth $92mn
One of the earliest funding for Infosys was Sudha Murthy’s savings worth Rs. 10,000. The Padma Shri winner social worker has her life come full circle (i.e. a fresh start) with NRN launching his own fund, Catamaran.![Sudha[1] Sudha[1]](http://www.pluggd.in/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Sudha1.jpg)
She has sold shares worth Rs 430 crore or $92 million to back her husband’s plan to launch a venture capital fund. NRN, earlier sold stocks worth $37mn, so that takes the fund corpus to $129mn.
The fund, as we mentioned earlier will invest in healthcare, retail, technology and Catamaran will start the investment in a year or two (NRN will also mentor startups in crystallizing ideas).
