One of the earliest funding for Infosys was Sudha Murthy’s savings worth Rs. 10,000. The Padma Shri winner social worker has her life come full circle (i.e. a fresh start) with NRN launching his own fund, Catamaran.Sudha[1]

She has sold shares worth Rs 430 crore or $92 million to back her husband’s plan to launch a venture capital fund. NRN, earlier  sold stocks worth $37mn, so that takes the fund corpus to $129mn.

The fund, as we mentioned earlier will invest in healthcare, retail, technology and Catamaran will start the investment in a year or two (NRN will also mentor startups in crystallizing ideas).

Note to other Infy millionaires – learn from your super boss. Many of you have invested in stock/real estate market, but how about investing in Indian entrepreneurs?
