Hi Folks – It is a nice article no doubt but I dont think that VCs come and do not invest. They may take more time after the event and do their due diligence. There are PLENTY of companies reported right here at pluggd.in which are getting funding from the VC. So what gives?

The answer is that the number of companies seen by the VC vs funded ones is very small, giving the overall impression that the VCs do not fund companies in India. It is also true that the ecosystem is evolving. It will take time. Rome was not built in a day, and neither will this be.

As my 3 year old says… Have patience!

Awesome vishal!!! i liked the images where the VC also tries to show his midriff )
But jokes apart,vishal has touched the reality in the startup scene in India with utmost perfection and detail.

Just like micro-finnace organisations for rural areas, i think startups also require such micro-finance orgs city-to-city

“Then when do they even attend these events when they really have no intent to fund ?? Simple, its for the free publicity, ego massage and reporting back to HQ in USA that they actively tracking startup space…”, this reminds me of one of the episodes of Rakhi Swayamvar which I saw this week
