<description>On first glance, the homepage gives the impression that the site is merely an aggregator and reorganiser of content from top sources such as the BBC, guardian etc. Since these are well established publishers, its not surprising that they&#039;ve risen to the top.

Unfortunately this makes the content that I see on the front page boring, with no real incentive to use this model instead of my rss reader, where I might already be subscribed to the publishers that NewsCred tracks.

Perhaps if NC focussed on driving the credibility of lesser known publishers (smaller bloggers) this would lead to a greater participation from the bloggers themselves (right now displacing bbc from the front page would seem like a pointless fantasy for the small-time blogger), and also from readers who enjoy discovering new blogs, but wish somebody would help them a tad when it came to recognizing the good publishers from the not-so-good ones.

It would be nice to know a little bit more about their credibility algorithm. Indeed, if it makes sense, it might give it a little bit more credibility (pun not intended, but serendipitous).
