Druvaa Launches inSync, Laps NASA as a customer

Pune based enterprise startup, Druvaa has launched inSync, an automated laptop backup software which protects corporate data for office and remote users.

inSync, available for Windows and Linux features simple backup, point-in-time restores, data deduplication technology and boasts of 10 X faster backup speed (uses advanced compression and distributed data de-duplication technology called –
“SendUnique”), which eventually results in 90% reduction of the bandwidth).

Druvaa received $100K angel investment from IAN and has acquired a strong list of customers (HSBC Life, Zee-Network etc) and recently acquired NASA as their customer (federal deployment).

Druvaa inSync also offers useful feature called Eternity which enables time-line based from-thepast
restore. In case of loss of data the user can start a web-based restore to choose a calendar date and recover relevant data.

Druvaa has been designed keeping in mind the remote/mobile users (for instance, sales force) and uses client triggered backups (built in WAN optimization).

    4. Appears to be a truly innovative and world class enterprise technology product acquiring global customers … build out of India. Not as common as every one would like it to be or thinks it is (may be the day will come when it’s a given … but today it’s not).

Ashish – It would be interesting to learn what they did differently .. both from a product development and product marketing perspective. Do you know? Can u conduct an interview with the founders on pluggd.in for them to share and all to learn?
