Meridhun is an interesting startup that provides services in song personalization i.e. customers can request a song to be personalized as per three categories of personalization available.
For e.g. ‘kabhi kabhi aditi” can be changed to “kabhi kabhi katrina” et al.
Surely an interesting concept, Meridhun offers 3 levels of personalization (ranging from Rs. 99/ to 250/)
- Name : Allows you to change the name (wherever a person’s name is used in the song) in the song lyrics.
- Basic : This level of personalization allows you to change the name (wherever a person’s name is used in the song) as well as change entire phrases in the song lyric. Phrases can be changed by using one of the suggestions provided by MeriDhun. (You cannot change any of the suggestions provided, but have to use the suggestions as is).
- Premium : Allows one to be very creative and do free form personalization of the entire song. You may choose to use MeriDhun provided suggestions and modify as required.
One can customize the song (see the pic above for pappu can’t dance) and once you are done with ordering, Meridhun will send you the customized mp3 in a day or two.
My first feedback – have some seed content – right now, everything is paid and one just can’t listen to some sample music (before actually buying one). Few sample content does help increase confidence in any new site.

These kind of gestures are very touchy but though the music stays true to the original, the voice doesn’t sound convincing since Meridhun has employed its in house singers to do the job.
