NRN’s VC Fund – Catamaran, To Focus on Technology, Healthcare and Retail

NRN is setting up his VC fund and the fund will be called ‘Catamaran’. Catamaran, derived from Tamil word, ‘kattumaram’ is a multi-hulled boat which moves swiftly and is lot more agile.

The fund will invest in healthcare, retail, technology and though NRN hasn’t disclosed the fund size, it won’t be a limiting factor. Catamaran will start the investment in a year or two and NRN will also mentor startups in crystallizing ideas.

We need more NRNs to come out and start their angel fund – especially in a country where there is a lack of angel capital and majority of the current early stage investors are talking of ‘not less than a mn$ fund requirement’.
