Much awaited Nokia OVI store is finally live and has been launched officially.
The site was unexpectedly slow since morning (serious disaster for a company that wants to take on Apple) and we ran out of patience to figure out the useful apps.
Nevertheless, here are some of the interesting (rather utilitarian) apps:
Also, OVI store has apps for pretty much all social networking site and incidentally,Nokia OVI Mail has been launched today in 85 languages.
In general, the app store isn’t as impressive as it should have been – but then, these are initial days and let’s not forget that Nokia is targeting emerging markets quite aggressively.
Do give OVI store a spin and share useful apps that you have come across.

Your twitter client link does not work ..:-(
One more interesting thing.Shozu, a popular photo share app is a free download from site Shozu.com but it costs 5 euros if you download it from Ovi … interesting ..:-)
@Lalit – Shozu is not available anymore on Ovi
I guess they also realized that its quite stupid of them to provide the app for 5 euros on Ovi store when they are giving it free on their site.
Btw – Shozu as a company has been around since 2002 and shozu application doesn’t make any money since its free to consumers.
the same news already came in techcrunch. why are you replicating the same news? i like some of the analysis you make. plz be unique like that. dont just go with the world plz.
@Bala – Not sure why do yu want to unnecessarily troll? (do that elsewhere please).
The app store has been unexpectedly slow and I gave up reviewing the apps (which we planned earlier).
And it’s not about the same news, it’s about the similar experience – TC has it’s own right,we have our own.
Hope you understand
