The N-Dilemma
N97, N97 Mini and the next big bet, i.e. N900 are all available (N900 will soon be available) in the market; and Nokia, it seems is too confused about the product launch,feature differentiation and ofcourse, pricing.
So far, Nokia hasn’t yet perfected the smartphone market and the attempt to aggressively launch product hasn’t done any good to the company (N97, after a shoddy start saw real improvement with the latest 2.0 upgrade).
What’s your take? Will you go for N97 Mini or wait for N900?

Nokia has failed big time in the smartphone market . It is the best only for low end phones . If I have to spend so much money its either iPhone or Android for me . I am typing this on a HTC Hero and it rocks . Apple , RIM and Android are the main fighters and Nokia has already lost it . They introduce a mini version of a phone that has bombed . Go figure it out

when i am making calls,the volume is automatically getting maximum and i can hear a beep sound continuously during the call.this ia disturbing me during the call.what should i do for this????
I think u r getting beep sound becoz of spycall running in background. U need to close spycall. The spycall is a software to record conversation.

dude not worth it!!! seriously my n97 software sucks!!!!! it gets restarted if i try to edit something in my phone.
and these stupid dumb care center people dont do anything either. and no use having a warranty either, bcs these dumbass people will only wait for the warranty to get over and then they say sorry sir , warranty over. it happened to my friend and he just threw it into the dustbin!!! and thats where it belongs.

Hi. Very recently i had bought Nokia N97 mini. It looked really good and everything was fine in the beginning. BUT THEN CAME THE SOFTWARE PROBLEMS.
THE PHONE RESTARTS IF U EDIT SOMETHING IN THE SETTINGS OR IN THE CONTACTS. I have not downloaded anything from the net or from anywhere else, so it not any VIRUS which is causing the problem.
THESE NOKIA high end phones are not all worth it. i have given my phone 3 times already to the service centers , but those FOOLS never did anything to rectify the problems.
WARNING: PLS DONT BUY N97 MINI. AND TRY TO AVOID NOKIA PHONES. THEIR SOFTWARE SUCKS BIG TIME. MY FRIEND ALSO FACED THE SAME PROBLEM AND BY THE TIME THESE SERVICE FOOLS TRIED TO GET IT RIGHT HIS WARRANTY PERIOD GOT OVER AND HE HAD TO THROW THE PHONE AWAY.

I think people should opt for a Android OS rather than Symbian OS as in case of N97 mini. Andriod OS works perfectly when it comes to performance on mobiles devices.
MY NO KIA (NOT NOKIA) EXPERIENCE:
I bought N 97 in March 2010. There was regular problem of phone restart. I went to nokia care center. Software was updated. Problem continued. In August, 2010 phone stopped getting charged. Before that phone was misbehaving, when operated through touch screen. Approached Nokia care Centre . Asked to pay Rs. 3400 for put phone right. Asked why pay, when in warranty. Told phone is out of warranty because liquid has seeped in. Told never showered with phone OR taken phone in rain. Looks sweat has gone inside phone. Phone should be fit enough to take natural issues. Answer NO out of warranty liquid seeped in. But Jack power required to changed can not be out of warranty due to water seep in. ANSWER out of warranty. Got repaired and PAID for on August 25, 2010. Keys stopped functioning / misbehaving. Went back on September 15, 2010 informing that keys are not functioning. Told Jack was separate problem this is new problem Told, when I handed over set, this problem was not there. This problem you created, while repairing. Answer, when we handed over phone you should have checked. If problem was there, you should report back within 1 to 2 days. We can satisfy ourself that set is malfunctioning because of faulty repair. PAY Rs. 6000. No choice left. Asked another sitting across me. He had the similar problem. He told that it is DESIGN PROBLEM with N97. Came back with feeling: NOKIA means NO KIA in Hindi language MEANING ONCE WE HAVE SAID NO, WE CAN NOT LISTEN TO YOU. YOU HAVE TO SATISFY US. WE HAVE NOKIA LOOT CENTERS EVERY WHERE.

Totally agree with you parveen. These nokia care sucks.. I have gone thru the same issue with with n95. Its better to never give phone to nokia customer care even if in guarantee

Kindly find out a technical person to answer your questions regrading operating system/ galaxy/ Sony experta . I am user of N 97. I have shared my experience of using N 97. Looks like touch screen is not a matured technology. I am shifting to Blackberry Bold.
