You can try configuring gmail thru Mail for Exchange, which works fairly faster, but there are known issues.
Try
Email: your outgoing mail address
User: xxx
Password: xxxxxxx
Server: m.google.com
Port: default
Security: Yes
Domain: leave blank

Groupwise push mail accounts can be configured easily on the Blackberry 8250. On my E72 however, I have not been able to configure GroupWise push yet. You can set a pull mail without too much of a problem. So if push email is your priority, I’d suggest going in for the BB8250.

I am looking for a mobile with email faility ( say like balckberry ). what i need push mail service. ( I am using Novell Groupwise mail service )

I have two options now with me what i selected,

one is Blackberry 8520 & second is Nokia E72

Can somebody help me for making a decision?

i suggest to visit nokia priortiy dealer you have customer executive who can configure this for you..When i purchased phone, they did it as part of initial settings and configuration…
secondly it depends up GPRS speed..try on WIFI.. it should work as expected.

I’m having trouble configuring my E72 push e-mail with a GMail account for a couple of reasons:
. sometimes I receive the e-mail on my phone just a few minutes after it was sent and sometimes not until one hour or more!…
. also, when new e-mail arrives E72 marks my old inbox messages as unread!…

Can you help me in any of these issues?

Can anyone tell me if Nokia E72 supports push e-mail for GMail accounts?
And I mean “true” push e-mail, not actively look for new e-mails every 10 minutes or so…

This is one phone that I waited for since I heard it was to be launched and managed to get my hands on one. I am a die-hard fan of Nokia and yet again after my E-61i the E-72 has astonished me.

There is nothing and I mean nothing at all I can pin-point as a drawback in this phone. I am terribly happy with it. This one will last for a while with me.

It does not support Blackberry connect, true. For those that need it, dont get it…simple…the rest can blindly purchase this piece of machinery and be more than content.

I’m one of those people who was desperately waiting for E72 and suddenly, by a quirk of fate/ employment shift, had to move to BlackBerry. And now…only now, I realize how terrible Symbian is
