Nokia and Airtel team up for ad network

Nokia acquired advertising network Enpocket last year and the company is now signing up partnership deal with carriers – Sprint in US and Airtel in India.

Nokia’ advertising network offers display advertising on mobile Internet and claims a ctr (clickthrough) of 10% – much higher than Internet/mobile media.

Nokia is facing a tough competition from iPhone as well as Google Android (Nokia acquired Symbian and made it open source) and the battle is no more about handsets – it’s about the entire value chain.

Where do you think is Nokia headed?
