Mobile Internet in India: 153% growth (Y-o-Y) in PageViews [Opera Report]
Opera has released it’s March 2009 report and here are some interesting numbers for India:
- Page-view growth since March 2008: 153%
- Unique-user growth since March 2008: 53%
- Page-views per user: 359
Top 10 sites (as on Mar 2009):
- google.com
- orkut.com
- yahoo.com
- gmail.com
- rediff.com
- wikipedia.org
- songs.pk
- peperonity.com
- my.opera.com
- getjar.com
So essentially, the usage is limited to need-based or pure entertainment (there are several other reasons why people surf web though!)
