Mobile Internet is catching up in India and as expected, entertainment category rules the mobile internet world.

As per a study by Nielsen, Games websites score 38% in usage followed by Email (33%), Entertainment (21%), Music (18%) and Sports (15%).

The report also points out the penetration of Mobile Internet in different geographies and while US stands at 15.6%, India scores badly @ 1.8%.

Very interestingly, search doesn’t figure out in the top 5 usage – any reason why?
