Well, I do expect it to be a lot more than that- these are speculated numbers, but a good representation of the mkt, I’d say.

@Ravi – the speculation is 4K only for 3G and the number i have got from the telecom guys is that there are close to 65K iPhones (the first version) – including the original + hacked ones.

The bigger qn is what is the usage of 3G iPhone for India? I am actually surprised to see even 4K buying a product whose core feature cant b consumed

One of the reason Apple iPhone 3G isn’t successful in India is due to the pricing controlled by Apple directly. Indeed Apple has the control all over the world but they could allow the network operators to adjust them to the needs of consumers.
