Microsoft has partnered with NSE and BSE to offer real-time search of stock quotes.

Apart from real time quotes, Windows Live will offer relevant information/analysts’ views too.

Windows Live has also partnered with Vodafone for WAP based search for stock quotes.- via

Trading in general offers a very niche (and paying) audience and is one of the few successful apps on WAP.

This is a great development that will push more people online. In the past, when prices were delayed, there was still an excuse to call up your broker (if you did not have internet banking) to get the latest price. While this was inconvenient (being put on hold, not getting through, risk of a price being misquoted), it was still the next best option. Now, however, even the technology adoption laggards will see the benefit of this service and come online to use it.

I wonder, though, will this have an impact on traditional price and volume data feed providers?
