LinkedIn Reaches Milestone – Claims 4 million Users from India

LinkedIn claims 4 million users from India (globally, LinkedIn has 55 million members).

The last 3 million mark has been achieved in just 1.5 years (and it’s important to note that LinkedIn opened it’s office in India few months back, it’s first ever office in Asia).

LinkedIn has witnessed explosive growth in the last few months (see the traffic numbers):

What’s the impact of this?

Well, watch out for their Indian competition! ToI is promoting all of their job sites (newly launched techgig.com) as well as social networking service (peerpower), without giving much of a thought to ‘connections‘ and helping users grow in their career.

Sometimes it just helps to build a clock and not just tell the time.

What’s your opinion?
