They are minimizing their risk by investing in similar companies(thinking that one of them would take off) or they are thinking of future consolidation to have a better shot at the search engine market. For the purpose of comparison, you forgot Sulekha Yellowpages which according to me must be better than all of the above [except Justdial] Sulekha's Graph pattern will resemble that of Yahoo local though not sure if it has halved in the past 12 months. burrp, asklaila and metromela are not pure play yellow pages like JustDial, They rather fit into the category of Reviews and Ratings.
