Guerilla Marketing : Source code on the Business Card?

Guerilla Marketing is easier said than done.

TringMe, recently had an ‘aha’ moment @ the recently organized Adobe RIA summit – the startup saw great traction from the audience and the the ‘wow’ moment came when they distributed their business card – which had the complete actionscript source code to make a worldwide call using TringMe APIs (image below)

Audience queued up to take a look at their card! And guess how much they spent on this?

Rs. 200! (i.e. $4.4)

Cool. Isn’t it? Know of any other guerilla marketing strategy? Please share

definitely worth giving the mention ! Makes sense to get people to try out the API and in turn use TringMe !! Hats of to their marketing guy for doing something different and worthwhile !

    7. jonathan says:

Interesting idea, but absolutely shitty comments in the code. It certainly appears that he’s from the “i = i + 1; // add one to i” school of comments.

    8. Gurpreet says:

impressive idea. Why they do not have any name on the card?

    9. Anil says:

This is really cool !! Short and sweet – conveys the point.

    10. abhaga says:

Really nice ! More than anything else it shows the DNA of the company.
