Yoplr will help you plan your trip [50 Invites]

There are tons of travel related startups, but hardly anyone that helps you plan your trip. Yoplr, a Bangalore based startup has launched their application (in closed beta now) and is available for Karnataka and Goa destinations.

The product suggests you destinations based on parameters like

  • Holiday theme (romantic/adventure/beach/culture & historical etc)
  • Companion (traveling alone/with friends/senior citizen group/family etc)
  • Number of days
  • Distance you are willing to travel

Based on your selection, Yoplr will suggest you destinations and PoIs (i.e point of interests). You can add/remove PoIs based, select timing of the visit – in short, plan your entire trip.

Saved information can be emailed/downloaded (PDF) etc.

While there are several startups looking at travel space (look at Travel related startups in India), I clearly see a differentiator in Yoplr – it does solves a big issue in planning trips and most importantly, the site is very neatly done.

The interface is very intuitive and the product, of course needs to add relevant data (for e.g. where is the CCD in Bangalore-Mysore highway? etc) – but that’s part of the expansion plan.

Overall, we like Yoplr and recommend it for your travel needs.

For  pluggd.in friends, we have 50 invites to give away – so please leave a comment (with your email id ).

      Hi Ashish,

Please send me an invite keshavaram@gmail.com. I think they should also take information like “Conveyance mode – own vehicle or not” and travel budget. They should also mention hotels, restaurants and travel in the plan.

    15. Suresh says:

Interesting, Please send me an invite

    16. Gubbi says:

the intro video is good but is too small sized.

    17. Deeps says:

@Gubbi, there is an icon below the video, to make it full screen.

    18. Gubbi says:

      @Deeps,
Yeah but still…. It’s good, but feels like pushed to a corner. The text isn’t readable without fullscreen. The controls on the player should be tried out on trial and error basis. However, it’s just a presentation and not the service, which I’m sure is awesome as mentioned in this post.

I tried using the services of these guys and came to know that their service sucks. Being a travel agent I had a reputation to protect and cut a sorry figure in front of many clients. Please be wary of them.
