Wanna go to outer space?
Assuming you don’t work for NASA, your choices are:

a. Pay USD$20 million and a little more [like Anousheh Ansari did], or

b. Write a 250 words essay on “What is the best patented invention, and why?“.

New Scientist has teamed up with Audi to offer the winner a chance to

  • Fly into space, 62 miles (100 kilometres) above Earth
  • View the Earth from space.
  • Experience weightlessness.
  • Participate in the birth of the space travel industry and inspire future generations of explorers.

And all you have gotta do is write an essay [deadline is April 30, 2007].

And now the bad news: the competition is open only to UK citizens! :(
Nevertheless, I suggest ye all to give it a shot – you never know when the stars shine!!
