KheloStocks is a virtual stock trading portal with focus on educating and empowering retail investors on dynamics of real time stock trading.
KheloStocks provides real time trading environment with all the trading ingredients of a cash market segment such as
- Intra-day trade
- Delivery trade
- Margin trading
- Limit and Market type orders
- Transfer of intraday trade position to delivery
Each user starts with virtual cash of one million rupee. The market data is streamed from NSE and users can place buy/sell order on both intraday and delivery basis in the Khelostocks trading systems using the virtual cash provided to him.
KheloStocks comes very close to a real trading scenario and also has couple of helpful sections, like Trading Tutorial, and News Room.
Give KheloStocks a spin and share your feedbacks. I believe there needs to be lot more than virtual stock trading in any serious (and sustainable) portal and this may not be a pure product in itself, rather is a feature which can fit into a bigger product.
What’s your take?
Aside, virtual stock trading offers a super hot market opportunity in India and even Zapak is targeting the market with recently launched sensex based ‘Game for Money’ game.
Another startup in similar space: MarketHero.in

Honestly I feel that players such as Markethero and Khelostocks are really limiting themselves by positioning themselves as stock market games. Admittedly, Markethero is well designed and fun to use… but what about Khelostocks? Their interface could really use a lot of work! Pingback: The need for a *credible* social investing site in India | The MoneyVidya Blog
Following up on Gautam’s comments, (and reading his blog post), I think there is a void in the social investing space. At http://www.stockezy.com which launched just recently on August 20th, we attempt to connect users interested in the Indian Stock Markets.
Stockezy provides stock research, news, users can post opinions, and stockpicks. There is also a cool portfolio tracker application.
So keep us on your radar, more social networking features to be out soon.
There are a lot of these stock trading games popping up lately. I’ve used WSS and UpDown and had fun with them. They can teach you much, but users must understand that when real money is on the line our emotions have a way of overpowering our reason.
