SMSGyan – SMS Based Knowledge Machine

Need gyaan (i.e. answers to your qns) on the move? Via SMS? Sans GPRS?

SMSGyan comes to your rescue – its a new service launched by innoz (a student startup based in Kerala) that attempts to answer your queries (all sorts-  well almost!) by querying web/wikipedia etc – the claimed USP being they don’t want to send you any links, but the most relevant answer to your query.

These kind of services aren’t new to the Indian mobile world (MyDuniya too offered something similar with wikipedia) and to me, these are small utilities that fit a larger product need.

What’s your opinion on smsgyaan?
