Ahmedabad based DigiCorp (owns PetPooja) has launched Rivals4Ever, a rivalry site which is geared towards creating rivalry among users based on certain topics.
R4E starts with a topic with two rivals and users can choose to go with one of the options. R4E has smartly defined relevated info sections for rivals (Weapons, Weakness, Latest Videos by Fans, Passion talks by Fans, Upcoming Events/Fixtures) – which can serve as a huge engagement incentive as far as users are concerned.
“r4e is not just one of those community sites where like-minded people get together and discuss how smart they are in supporting what they support. It is essentially about rivalry. It is a plaza where like-mindeds meet the unlike-mindeds. And then what ensues is what we call ‘RIVALS4EVER‘!”
R4E is a damn cool site (inspired by rivals.com?) , has inbuilt “rival” elements (like the black background color) and can potentially gain good traction. Most importantly, R4E can bring out the emotional part in commenting (ask a Royal Enfield fan on being compared with Hero Honda) but the missing point in the site currently is ease of adding info.
Instead of adding long sentences, how about simple tagging (for e,g, in ‘weakness’ or ‘Passion talks by Fans‘ section)?
Overall, I am impressed with R4E and do expect them to create some noise!

Damn cool idea – has to work!
.
Abhishek – please think of adding more AJAXified effect. Also, the content area isnt great looking.
Somehow I am not getting that “CULT’ kind of a feeling!
Hi Suvama,
You are right. We are working on making the site more AJAXified. Hopefully in about a month it will have the CULT feeling you are talking about
Thanks for taking time to review the site. Please let me know if we are missing anything else.
