Pubmatic Launches MediaKit, self service ad platform

If you are a serious publisher and have a monetizable traffic on your site, you might want to sell the advertising space directly to advertisers, instead of sharing the pie with ad networks.

PubMatic has launched a MediaKit tool that enables publishers to directly sell the ad space to advertisers and maximize one’s revenues.

Once you sign-in using your PubMatic account, you can create your mediakit widget that can be embedded in the site. Advertisers can easily get to see the site profile, traffic stats, demographics/audience data, available ad placement slots etc.

Interesting to note that Pubmatic started as an ad optimization service and is now entering into the self-service ad network space via the mediakit launch.

PubMatic’s Indian arm, Komli recently tied up with eBay India for banner ad display on eBay’s site.
