P2W2 is a recently launched online marketplace for service industries – mainly catering to
services like writing, accounting, software, graphic design, virtual assistance, research etc.
The portal charges $13 for registration (for services), while buyer is free – something that they need to look at, in order to reach the critical mass.

Launched by an ISB alumni, P2W2 is no different from oDesk/RAC and several other online exchanges and as ninemotion’s Deepak mentions it’s a deep pocket business:
“..the competitive landscape has changed considerably in the last 2 years. Elance has raised a total of $65 Million, Odesk has now raised $35 Million and Microsoft has entered the space. We think that Google will also enter this space very soon. This is now a business of very deep pockets.”
What’s your take on P2W2? It looks fairly minimal right now.

good concept..let try it!
Note: Wrong link in my post above.
Good to see another services marketplace. their voice recording feature is cool and would be useful in some scenarios. however, i am not sure if it is more suited than text for communicating requirements.
Interestingly, i found their privacy policy (http://www.p2w2.com/privacy.html) has more than a bit in common with NineMotion’s (http://72.14.235.132/search?q=cache:-7dSWMM1j5cJ:www.ninemotion.com/ServiceAgreement.do+ninemotion+privacy&hl=en&gl=in&strip=1). I also found a couple of hyperlinks to http://www.ninemotion.com in their privacy policy!
@prav, I have personally experienced their services. They are prompt but to the date i can say it hasn’t appealed me much. It resembles a lot to ninemotion and prav is right about their privacy policy.
This is great news! There are a few marketplaces out there like rentACoder.com, guru.com, iFreeLance.com, oDesk.com and eLance.com. In the last 4-5 years, I have not seen any major innovations from any of these sites barring oDesk which allows employers to get snapshots of professionals every 10 minutes. Most of these sites are maintaining their status quo and placing catch up on small features. (which is quite sad)
There is big room for disruption in this model. I like how P2W2 allows use of Voice for feedback/etc although I haven’t personally used this feature so can’t comment on its actual usability.
A lot of professionals/service providers on these sites are from South East Asia. The number of employers has also increased over the last few years. Its about time for India/region to have a good online marketplace of its own. The time is right. The right combination of tech, usability and marketing is required.

This p2w2 marketplace too seems a typical cut n paste job. privacy policy copied from a competitor! would think lack of ideas had limits. I agree what Harsh is saying. All these websites are trying to compete are using small features, which competition immediately catches up with it.
It was maybe voice for p2w2. I dont see it mentioned on the site, so i would bet users didnt think it was too hot.
I would be interested to know how they think they are different from several out there – http://freelanceswitch.com/finding/the-monster-list-of-freelancing-job-sites/
I don’t see a response from p2w2 here as yet, so I assume they are rather clueless on managing online perceptions. A good trait to have in an online business
An associate in my firm found p2w2 through an ad for “excel expert”, but frankly the experience was disappointing. Turned out to be the typical bait and switch offshore tactic. The profile advertised was that of a top b-school MBA, but after a short conversation we were passed on to a definitely lesser qualified and poorly skilled individual. We said no thank you!
I received a call from one of p2w2′s agents; I went online to complete my profile. I spent time filling in the description, etc., hit next and when I hit the back key, it was all gone. ????
Please remove me from your website. Thank you.
I signed up at this site to get a project done, and was astonished at the amount of spam that I got! Everytime I clicked on a button, I got an email telling me what I just did. Now if only I could figure out how to get my account disabled..
Overall seems a rather unintelligent model, that does not show signs of growing. The site continues to be minimal as this year old article says. From the comments here so far, the user experience does not seem that great too. Looks like something someone created as a side business, to cheat on their primary employer and gain an additional income.
The site and team seems to peddle snake oil in the name of SEO and link building services. Their confidence in their own services is best said by “we disclaim all assurances/guarantees” (slide 1 of a recent webinar video from p2w2)!
Want to know who spams your blogs with meaningless comments? Well, it is the likes of p2w2 with their “quality” link building services. I kept blocking them from my blog, but they kept coming back hidden behind fake names!
Talking of blogs, I find the p2w2 blog pretty amusing
Mundane stuff being written out like it is pretty profound !
Some words of wisdom from a recent post:
“Have a clear objective on .. who.. you need.. to meet.. /
Time is a valuable resource / give out business cards, be on time, be polite and listen to what others say”
How old do they think the audience is? Teenagers???
It may be time for pluggd.in to write a eulogy for this site too! I have been checking for projects from quite some time and see none listed.
It may be time for pluggd.in to write a eulogy for this site (p2w2) too! I have been checking for projects from quite some time and see none listed. There were a bunch of dummy excel expert projects for some time, all duplicates, now the list is empty…
