MyQuest.in – Local search startup for Delhi/NCR Region

MyQuest is Delhi based local search service that is attempting to pretty much cover everything in the local search space- right from providing local business information (like hotels/restaurants/retails/tours ;n; travels etc) to movies/events, currency convertor, fengshui and even time/weather information.

The local search market is quite hot and the current players are expanding their area of scope as well as device accesses (ie. go ubiquitous)

MyQuest

I tried out the MyQuest search and looks like the team has a long way to go in terms of flushing out relevant results, and most importantly, identifying a core area of differentiation.

Bigger question to local search player is combating the G-effect. They need to build services which Google won’t even get into (for instance, Yulop has built Yulop Books portal to cater to regional languages).

How about monetization? Isn’t that a huge challenge for local service startups too?

MyQuest.in is currently available only for Delhi/NCR residents and will soon expand to other cities.
If you are Delhi based, please give MyQuest.in a spin and share your comments/feedbacks.

Clean Design attracts users and stickiness will be more.

My quest is a fraud. You will find there executives in local shopping complex or they can come to you for advertisement on there web site. But please be aware because this site has no market reputation and no one watches this site although they tell that this is a very good local serch engine. I gave a amount of Rs 2000 and told my friends too to advertise on this site but now come to know that this company is a fraud.

well i don’t know when you last viewed the site but things are pretty clear to me.. provide a good image of the listing with the companies logo along with an individual page too to view other details..

its quite nice, yeah search needs to be defined a bit more but i found mostly what i was looking for.. and for tourists and ppl with search keyword use its good.. they identify and trying to as well on how a number of people would search.. i personally believe it has potential to become huge.. name is catching and grows on u too..

sms is great.. check the weather in the morning.. get my movie updates… currency.. works for me..
