LifeBlob receives 1mn$ from SeedFund
LifeBlob (read our coverage) has received $1mn funding from Google backed Seedfund.
LifeBlob enables one to describe their life in timelines, i.e. you can add your life events and
share with the world.
There are a couple of sites in this space – Dandelife (reviewed here), Dipity, Plurk etc; but LifeBlob’s claim to difference is the social angle to the product (i.e. they bring contexts based on user’s tags – so if you and I attend a barcamp and tag the event, both of us will be shown in each other’s timelines.)
Google and Reliance ADAG backed SeedFund has earlier invested in Printo, RedBus, Agencyfaqs, carwale;and has been looking out to raise $30mn fund.

Congrats to Pranav and team, they deserved it.
Congratulation lifeblob team!
Well done to the lifeblob team – they deserve it: their product is well executed – user interface is absolutely world class. I imagine that is probably why they were successfully raise that amount of money – because investors credibly believed that it could compete on a global scale.

It would be quite interesting to learn what sort of equity they had to give up for that amount of money…
