2007 was a spectacular year for Indian Startups – we witnessed a rise in startup ecosystem – right from forums like barcamps to focused events like Proto/Nasscom’s product conclave, to VCs reaching out to startups (and vice versa) etc.

While 2007 has sowed the seeds, I firmly believe that 2008 is going to be a decisive year for many of these startups – we might witness some blood bath (i.e. exits) and at the same time, a few cool innovative ideas will emerge.
