IIM A launches iAccelerator program for Indian startups

IIM A has launched iAccelerator incubation program for technology startups.

“iAccelerator aims at accelerating the web and mobile related brainwaves into prototypes and possibly build a team around the idea, get some funding and most importantly achieve some traction from the potential customers. We feel that it is a novel way of accelerating IT/web/mobile related consumer ideas. The iAccelerator would comprise of intensive monitoring of product development, mentoring by VC, business and technology experts.

Once the prototype is in place, IIM Ahmedabad students shall work closely with the start-ups in commercializing the same developed by the teams.

IIM A is targeting IT professionals/students across the country.

The program duration is only 3 months, which I believe is very short for an idea to reach prototype/market validation stage.

IIM Ais promoting entrepreneurship among it’s student base and 8 out of the current batch have already opted out of the campus placements.
