Demazi – Generate your own software code

demazi

Demazi (stands for Development made easy)is taking the SaaS concept to the next level by enabling (or shall I say, attempting to?) SMBs to create their own software.

SMEs owners can log on to the website and key in the requirments they need from the software. Based on the requirements, the website will automatically generate the software code which the SME owner can run within 3 minutes.

Right from small financial calculators, tax planners, contact management to complex solutions like Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), the website is programmed to provide the input in matter of a few minutes.

The current implementation is just the baby step and the cynic in me says this “fit-a”ll” approach is far too dreamy, but that’s what entrepreneurship is all about.

We will surely keep a tab on Demazi. Meanwhile, what do you think of this concept?

How feasible is it to build a scalable backend software that caters to all your needs? Salesforce’s Force.com is a step in that direction, but is way too bloated.

37signals is simplifying the project management software, but a “fit-all” approach?

Demazi has been started by two ex-IIT KGP guys and are mentored under IIMA’s iAccelrator programme.

‘fits-all’ with a little bit of alteration, if needed, works just fine for most of us! :-)
after all, majority of SMEs are not unique in their operations. dig that?

      Have you heard about Coghead?

    3. prabindh says:

It might be a better idea to develop this as an algorithm and sell the whole stack to companies to play with, than think of all ways of providing customisability to each and every component….

    4. hmmmmmm although the concept looks good, I for that matter do not think complete customization is possible for websites.

Lets see how the product comes out ….
