While we wait for Adobe to launch the online avatar of photoshop, here is an interesting Indian startup that is defining the landscape for online photo editing softwares (with it’s unique 1-click effect USP) : Flauntr.
How does Flauntr works?
All you have got to do is upload pics (from your local computer or you can import pics from your Flickr account), play with Flauntr’s predefined 1-click effects and share the pic with your friends.
“we hope to take photo editing beyond the usual crop, rotate, etc features, (which we do provide) but provide predefined effects to users which they can apply on top of photos. flauntR provides hundreds of effects, which can be saved onto each other, so it translates to thousands of combinations.”
What’s really cool about Flauntr?
The fact that you don’t have to learn about photo editing and all the effects are one-click effects. Flauntr has taken special care to bring in some real cool effects (like coloration, light effects, and various shades of distortions).
Flauntr is a great value add for people like me, who don’t really understand the nitty-gritty of photo editing, and yet want some readymade tools.
Though Flauntr currently has some jagged edges (like selecting a pic from one’s Flickr stream is very painful), but that doesn’t erodes one from the great experience Flauntr provides.
Overall, I am damn impressed.
Flauntr currently provides 3 applications: photostylR, photoeditR and photoprofilR and plans to launch 4 more applications in the next few months. As far as Flauntr’s revenue model is concerned, integration with printing services is the way to go.
Flauntr has been built on Adobe flex builder and has been featured at flex.org as well as the editor’s pick on y! app gallery.
Strongly recommend you all to test ride Flauntr and do share your comments.

Is there Drag-n-Drop feature: i want drag my photo and drop in to Flauntr.
There is no Undo Option for Each Step. I hope it may be there but i couldn’t figured it out.
But It is pow(really,n) awesome product i’ve ever seen.
B-Model: Distrubution is the Key, Again. Integrating with Printing service [as said by ashish] has high ROI.
why is there a logon at the very first page !!
looks good.
Ashish – Watblog guys have been copying all startups that you review in their new weekly posts called : startup saturdays. Basically they copy all the startups that are reviewed over the entire week (WITHOUT giving any credit).
Are you aware of this?
