EmailatMobile – Access your business or official emails on any mobile

Bangalore based startup, Adroit has launched emailatmobile - Access your business or official emails on any mobileemail@mobile, a free mobile email solution that allows you to access your corporate emails on any basic GPRS enabled mobile phone, irrespective of mobile solution provider.

email@mobile doesn’t mandate one to install or configure anything on mail-server or on mobile devices.

In order to register, you need to provide your incoming SMTP address and protocol (supports both IMAP and POP). Once you have registered, you can access your corporate email on any mobile handset with WAP 1.2 and above browser.

Corporate edition (i.e. hosted installation on corp’s server) of email@mobile is charged on per user basis while personal edition is free.

Similar apps: SMSMyEmail (Receive emails w/o GPRS connection), MeOnGo (supports any mail service)

What’s your take on these apps?

Email@mobile really a good news for almost all business related people who need to be with their laptops almost 24/7. Atleast now they can stay away from their systems for sometime as they will get their emails in their handset itself. But will the operations be convenient in a mobile phone? I will be looking forward for more such information.

Download Free J2ME client at http://mujmail.xf.cz/index.php?a=1

Now you can download Webemails from FreePOP3 access provided for Lycos.com initially and will be offered for other services.
      Service is by Vahati.

my 2 cents : accessing emails via WAP is not convineent

      a) You cannot download emails on your device.
      b) entering password is not easy. every time you need to access.
      c) Data usage will be there even if you want to read older emails.
      d) need to wait untill page is open. offline view is not possible etc..

I have seen the similar kind of product http://mobee.in which is more and more advanced. In http://www.emailatmobile.com you need to have the GPRS connection. But in http://mobee.in no need to have GPRS. You can get your email as an SMS.
They are also having some free plans like 10 sms per day and also paid plans (more features).

You can even do some actions like READ, REPLY, REPLYALL, SEND EMAIL, SEND ATTACHMENTS etc.,

For more info visit their website http://mobee.in
I am really loving this product.
