Announcing! – The Directory of Indian Startups

Got too many requests for this – right from VCs to M & A folks, to startups – everybody felt a strong need for indian startup directory!

So, ladies and gentlemen – here is presenting the big bang directory showcasing Indian technology startups.

The directory is far from being complete – so far, we have added close to ~20% of the entire startup data that we have.

And here is where I need your help - if you are a startup or know startups, please help spread the word.

Please ask the founding team to add their venture details to the directory (i.e. fill this form, takes only 5 minutes) – there are subtle information that I’d like founders to fill-in.

What’s next?
Mashups! More interactivity!
We will play with the data and bring in more useful insights to you.

The game begins!

Data is not an issue – Like I said, what I have shown currently is ~20% of what I have.
The key here is to get more useful info – which only startup founders can share.

    2. Vikas says:

Ashish – I’d recommend changing the email address to a different format to avoid spam. Great work!

    3. Aswin Anand says:

Ashish, hope in the near future, you will release APIs to play around with (like the guys at CrunchBase).

    4. chica says:

Like it. Please do categorize the startup’s based on market area or other criteria. This would make it very easy to use.

    5. Ashish says:

Thanks Vikas, Prashant, Aswin and Chica for your comments – we will be playing with data in the coming months – for e.g. answering queries like ‘show me bangalore startups’, ‘list of mobile startups in india’ etc!

    6. Sri Panyam says:

Well there is Indyarocks who are doing really well :D

    7. Julia says:

Well a great deal of work done by you people in helping us knowing about the various types of start ups. But the thing is it will be easier for us to use it, if they are being categorized.

    8. Ashish says:

      Yes Julia.
We will categorize them based on certain criterias (location/business type etc) – another few days or so.
