Zapak takes ad-supported Mobile Gaming Route

Reliance has launched it’s own application storefront to distribute games on mobile – apart from Zapak games, Reliance has partnered with Greystripe for ad-supported games.

GreyStripe is an in-game mobile ad network and ad-supported mobile game distribution platform (provides mobile game publishers an automated, developerless process that ad-enables java and iPhone mobile games and applications).

Zapak has a user base of 5.1million and this partnership will enable them to feature 900 plus ad-supported games and applications from Greystripe.

In general, the subscription based model is not working in mobile entertainment business and ad-supported seems to be the way out.

What’s your opinion?
