Consim Info launches EliteMatrimony, Matrimony site for Elites

Alright – the elites of the world needs an elite matrimonial site and that’s what Consim Info (owns BharatMatrimony) has launched – EliteMatrimony.

The core idea behind this service is that elites of the world generally hide their true identity on the ‘junta’ matrimonial sites and will hopefully, open up a lot in an elite site.

The registration is invite only and Consim Info does a prior check on the registration requests (wondering what parameters do they look at!)

As per the company, the four broad classifications of elite (i.e. target segment) are: businessmen/industrialists, high networth individuals (professionals, people in service), civil servants and celebrities (cine actors, sports personalities, artists and others).

“A person is considered to belong to the elite club only if his or her networth is Rs.100 million (Rs.10 crore). In the case of upcoming sports persons or artists, we will base our decision depending on their potential (source)

Do you qualify for EliteMatrimony? Even if you don’t, do you think the idea will fly?

I do not. And if I did, I would have known enough other “elite” people. And hence I would not have listed there.

I think this is a clear case of someone at BharatMatrimony trying to justify his salary and VC investments ;)

    Regards,
    SG

if you need a matrimonial site even after having 10 corores than what you actually need is a divine intervention. good luck !! I bet this will be a playground for gold miners

I think this is a covert op by the IT Dept to find ppl with 10 crores and possibly evading:-)
How on earth would they verify the ‘credentials’?

Is it meant as a dating site as well ? – the focus is more on courtship it seems
can somebody please ask them to change the site colors? I mean it looks really sad and sick!!

Now an added attraction to get big ticket VC funding for your startup. You might just find the “calling” of your life :D

    Very Difficult to run ….

This certainly is a FAIL idea.

    1. Assumption here is that HNIs would like to date / marry other HNIs only.
    2. “By invite” – How many social networking sites that worked by invite has won? This would result in lesser users.
One can imagine an email saying “Hi, if you are an elite individual, sign in to marry other elite individuals.”
    3. On the funny side – “Every succesful man has a woman behind him” – In that case, what is the relevance?

This can surely work, with one or two tipping points- maybe a leaked success story after a year etc, Also this is not opens up a new pool of potential dates to the HNI, he/she was till now bound by the immediate circle of friends/relatives etc.

Orkut secured it large base of users initially by a invite system, and ‘Invites’ hold more relevance in the ‘Elite’ segment.

Instead of EliteMatrimony.com it should have been called EliteMergersAndAcquisitions.com. And if it does become successful, EliteDivorces.com will not be too far behind :)
