Proto.in – first day first show
Like any blockbuster movie, Proto’s first day was a super success.
List of VCs that were seen on the first day:
Sequoia, SVB, BoA, Canaan Partners, BlueRun, Sandstone, Helion Ventures, FootPrint Ventures, Jumpstartup,Draper Fisher Jurvetson, NEA- IndoUS Ventures, mentorpartners, clearstone, Upstream Ventures, Siemens, NVP, LightSpeed, iLabs.
The Business track was fully jampacked and the technology track was very well received too (there were very good presentations from Adobe, Equvia, mChek, Foss (Atul chitnis).
The mentoring session, I believe was very useful for startups and I am sure they are gonna rock the day 2.
A few interesting tidbits:
- Sekar Vembu of Vembu Technologies shared his thoughts on “Bootstrapping a Business without VC”. The talk was very well received, as Sekar was purely in an unplugged mode (I am told that this is the way he is:), and had very candid stuff to share.
- tolmolbol guys painted the Proto red with their red t-shirts- I am sure they must have witnessed a spike in their traffic
