Reliance buys majority stake in Willow TV

Reliance ADAG has bought 75% stake in US based Willow TV to expand it’s presence in US. The acquisition amount is undisclosed, but Reliance will spend $60 million to $70 million in the next few years.

Willow TV has 1 million registered users and is world’s largest live streaming video site for cricket – the monetization model is based on subscription.

Reliance Entertainment is aggressively targeting the US segment – has bagged Hollywood deals and is looking for US acquisition as well.
