I commend this move from Infosys. Cutting cost is always good. But it is not a long term strategy.

Rather it is high time to innovate on the business model. The majority of IT industry is using the same old model of onsite-offshore model. Really no innovation on the business model. Infosys was using the same model 25 years back and even now. So where is the change?

I would suggest infosys to use its main power, people, and innovate in the business model to leap to the next level. I have written an article based on this. I have an example of Instablogs who were earlier running there operations from Delhi ,but eventually shifted to shimla to cut cost as a result they are one of the most profitable startup around.

Watch out for big collapse in Quater Result this Dec end. Jan will be very pain. Job loss and Stock mkt crash.

It really gives us insight why infy differ from other companies like wipro, tcs. A good initiative I must say (inplace of layoff).
