Bharti changes Brand Identity – to diversify into Retail, Financial and Agriculture Business

Bharti has unveiled it’s 2020 vision and talks of relying less on telecom business and more on new businesses which include retail, financial services and agriculture.

Currently, Bharti’s 80% revenues come from the telecom business, which it wants to reduce to 50% (by 2013).

At Bharti, we have always believed in undertaking transformational projects that have a positive impact on the society and contribute to the nation building process. We have demonstrated this philosophy by leading India’s telecom success story, with entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and strong partnerships being the pillars of our growth. Having diversified into new businesses in agriculture, financial services and retail business with world-class partners, we have laid the foundation for building a conglomerate of future which will achieve USD 10 billion in revenues by 2010 – Sunil Mittal

Bharti is an inspiration to startups and I strongly recommend ye all to watch this video where Sunil Mittal talks about the early days (Maruti rejected dealership to him) and tons of stuff:

What do you think of the new logo?

Sunil is also very active in his Bharti education system in order to bring better education.

When asked by NTDV to sunil about the education, he told he dont want to do biz with education.

Sunil is really awesome guy along with Kishore Biyani [rakesh junjunwala invested in big bazar [in CR's]]

As sunil’s deal was rejected by maruti the same case is for Kishore Biyani’s Pataloon shop to set up in well know big retail in bombay before Big Bazar. That made Kishore Biyani to start his own pataloon brand and embeeded in BigBazar and Bangalore Central and in some other cities
