    1. Sumant says:

I tweeted my opinion – it’s marked up by 5,000 Rupees, and then there’s the import duty and shipping charges (which are outrageous, IMO). It’s easier for someone to buy it for you in the US and simply carry the unboxed product over.

    2. k says:

It is not marked that much i think. pls include the $37 of california tax. so, actually $529+$37 is the base cost.

      • prince says:

oh is it thts interesting … so tht sums up for the mark up ..i am definitely going to buy one from this site

        • Aditya says:

seemed an interesting bargain to me.. its a bangalore based site it seems.. same city, so i would prefer ordering here than getting an unboxed phone after spending over 30,000 bucks..
Cool phone though.. really looking forward to receiving mine end of month :-)

      • vasanth says:

I think this L better choice

    3. Deepak R says:

i will surely not wait , gonna buy Nexus one from 20north.com

    4. Jagan says:

One Question i have is , will the Nexus One work with BSNL 3G. I am getting confused with a lot of posts online regarding the same. Any opinions

    5. Dinesh says:

I saw the posting of nexus one in 20north.com but it says STANDARD SHIPPING 21-30 DAYS omg almost 1month …is this true , i have never ordered anything online so please tell me is it safe to order from that site or you suggest me to wait …and me desperate to get the phone !

      • aditya says:

ya it does take 20 days but i read smwhere tht the company delivers it in 12-14 days in some case..bt then if i hav to get a nexus one before anyone else i wont mind 20 days.Google has no plans to launch it in the near future..

    6. eanurag says:

rather be a fast follower than an early early adopter, as steve blank says…

    7. I dont know if HTC has a major brand value abroad, but in india i dont think it has really taken off well. Like the above comment, i think i will wait until some good reviews come in and also till the supply-demand finally gets the price revised.

Btw, answering customer queries only thru email ? Should google learn something here ?

    8. Kunal says:

Will Android Market be accessible from India using the Nexus One? Or will there be issues with regard to location again? No use if you can’t use the phone to download apps. Might as well wait then as inaccessibility of the Android Market would seriously limit the use of the phone to great extent, and hence a deal breaker.

Apparently, there was a similar problem with HTC’s earlier model – HTC Magic.

      Anybody, have any clue?

      Thanks.

      • Gautam says:

I have an unlocked G1 (the first andriod phone). I can download/look for only free apps. Paid apps are not available for download on the unlocked G1. Not sure if this is the same for Nexus since Google is selling the unlocked version also.

Will Nexus One work in India/ BSNL 3G if I would get it from US.

    11. aseg says:

nexus one wont work with bsnl 3G because US 3G is in 1900mhz band while indian european 3G uses 2100 mhz band. so US nexus will not work in India on 3 G

      • Siddharth says:

@aseg: Please do your home work before mis-reporting anything and misguiding other people.

The nexus one WILL work in India.

The Nexus One’s antenna supports four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900) and three 3G bands – 1, 4, and 8 which are 2100/AWS/900 respectively.

BSNL and MTNL have been allocated spectrum and currently running the 3G service in the range of 2100MHz-2110MHz downlink. The 3G spectrum auctions for the private telecom service providers in India will finally be conducted in Feb’10. Let me quote from the India 3G auction guidelines doc- “The bidders can bid for one block of 2 * 5MHz each for 3G telecom services in the 2.1 GHz band (2110MHz-2170MHz for downlink and 1920MHz-1980MHz for uplink) in a telecom service area”. Basically the overall 3G spectrum range available in India is between 2100MHz-2170MHz downlink. The 2100 MHz or 2.1GHz band IS supported by the Nexus One and so will work on the BSNL/MTNL network as well as on the networks of the private telecom companies who win the auctioned slots in the 3G spectrum.

Of course, for now, the performance of BSNL/MTNL 3G service is another matter altogether.

Nexus one is available in Mumbai @ herra panna market for 35000 and if you in some other side of mumbai wait for 1week more you will start getting the mobiles in the normal market where we get the unlocked phones ……

    13. desikid says:

As per most of reviews n sales figures from US looks like Nexus has lost big battle to iPhone n other phones

    14. RAHUL MR says:

The review about the nexus are somehow getting bad results.
I got one nexus last wednesday and i am very much satisfied with the performance when compared with the iphones.
Most importantly it has got a 1 GHz processor, then 3.7 inch screen and then AMOLED display then 5 MP camera.
The one thing i thought bad about the nexus one was the music quality before i got the nexus one.But once i got that ..it was superb in all the way .
Super sound nice earphones and its simply perfect.
One thing thats missing from this phone as everyone says is the multitouch which is supposed to be in european versions.
And since in US there is some patent problems with the apple its still disabled in the US version
But in few months time the developers will crack the code and we will get one update or firmware that will support the multitouch.
But the browser that can be downloaded that is the dolphon browser supports multitouc…

This is really a superb phone and way better than iphone features.
But still people supports the iphone(may be only the iphne users) for nothing .Dont know whats the reason behind that …

As somebody has asked,Nexus is working quite brillantly with Vodafone Mobile connect.
I have it for almost 2 months now(and i have used many smartphones),u should know it was never touted as iphone killer(its more of a marketing strategy by Apple & Steve). The thing is that Android helps as it is an OPEN OS.
U can fully use Android market,i am currently using HTC desire rom on top of it.
The handsets such as Nexus,N900,iphone 3G S,Moto Droid are real smartphones, dont simply buy them for showing off.
Another thing as someone above has mentioned buying SE Xperia10,i dont think it’s a good move,it comes with 1.6version whereas Nexus comes with 2.1 and many many apps/games in Android market requires 2.1 and yes no need to mention which One will first receive all the latest updates(Android is Google OS &Nexus is Google’s brainchild)so while in Xperia u wait for 1.7,1.8 then 2.1 u alreay would have more updates in Nexus One.
These r my views,i again repeat, dont buy it just to show off,i resides in Pune.

Hi, I just got Google nexus from USA. It is at&t compatible one as i read that its frequencies match in India. In India now, i am not able to access the phone since there is no network even after putting a vodafone sim. Do i have to activate my phone? if yes, how? What networks does it support in India? How did you get it to work with vodafone?

        • NEAL SHAH says:

If anyone has an idea, please email me on above address or call me at 9821193549

            Neal,

Not sure why you are not able to use it, may be its coz of you bought it via AT&T. I’m using Nexus with Vodafone..

Also you can try selecting the available networks manually on phone and try to select vodafone as your home network…

Once you connected to the internet phone will automatically download the latest firmware and it will enable the multitouch feature on your phone…

      • Arun says:

You should be able to use internet on your Nexus One. If Airtel guys says so, i would say thats the height of stupidity

I’m using internet on my Nexus one Phone with vodafone for the past 3 months, infact i’ve downloaded many apps from Android market

Ask airtel guys to let u know th settings for coonting to internet
        GPRS/EDGE whatever it is

Once you have the settings from Airtel , Manually enter the settings on phone

Settings –wireless & Networks–Mobile networks–Access point names—you can create or edit the existing accoriding to the airtel WAP settings privided to you.

If you are using Vodafone with Nexus one here is the settings for accessing internet. You should have mobile Connect enabled on your number (Any Plan will do)

      Settings –– wireless & Networks––Mobile networks––Access point names

Press the Menu Button on Bottom console (button between Back & Home)

type a name for access point(Can be vodafone)— set the APN name as www and save settings and restart your phone.

      Nexus One Phone
Buy the phone without service and insert your own SIM card. Includes a Nexus One phone case, wall charger, and USB cable. Free shipping in the continental US.

      Compatible with 3G on T-Mobile (U.S.)
Supports three 3G/UMTS bands (900/AWS/2100 MHz) and four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

Compatible with 3G on AT&T (U.S.) and these wireless providers in Canada.
Supports three 3G/UMTS bands (850/1900/2100 MHz) and four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

Which phone will work best with my mobile service provider and why?

Which one shud i choose??? I am using Vodafone chennai sim card…plz help me soon…

        • Chander says:

          Hey Dude…
I just ordered mine like you. I too researched a lot about which one 2 choose and finally found that the AT&T model is better coz it includes the 1900 3G band. Now why is that important? Both T Mobile and AT&T include the 2100 MHz 3G band which would work in India when 3G launches in October but this band would only be used for downlink (i.e. downloading). For uplink (uploading) the 3G band for India is 1900 MHz which is available in AT&T model only. So if u get the T Mobile version it will upload data using EDGE or 2G speeds only…So If ur friends hasnn’t yet placed the order tel him to order the AT&T version…

          • Vinoth says:

              • Chander says:

                Hi Ashit…

As 3G services are not yet launched in India(except BSNL and MTNL – I use Airtel), Nexus one wont at present download/upload using the 3G Speeds…It only downloads/uploads using 2G-EDGE speeds. As per my research (read google forums) i found out that the AT&T version is best suited for India and will work properly once 3G launches fullflegedly in India…

I really don’t think that nexus one will come to India as google has no plans to launch any other phone like nexus..people who might be waiting for this phone in India should get it from other sources..there will not be any other models or Nexus 2 versions etc for this phone.

PS: Google launched this phone to get the market overview for there Andriod software. They team working on the OS wants to get the OS to the market. Now, they have clearly mentioned that they doesn’t have any further plans for the phones.

Official words : Yes, we done it with phone. Now stop it and start focus on Andriod !!

Please stop faking this news all over the forums/blogs as people will led to misleading and they keep waiting for this awesome device.

Offcourse, Nexus one will be the first and last model of Google but it will be the first model that will get upgrade to future versions of Andriod’s as compared to HTC, Samsung and other Manufactures !

I’ve tested my nexus one with BSNL 3G SIM card and its working fine on 3G network.

      As per google
“A new version of nexus one with 3G frequency bands 850/1900/2100 MHz is available from 16th March on the Google web store, That will support almost all Indian networks including current BSNL and forthcoming after 3G allocation (expected to start by 2nd half of 2010.)”

I’ve purchased mine in February and it should be a T-Mobile version.
