Orkut adds privacy features

Few days back, Orkut added privacy features that enabled users to share photos/videos/testimonials with one’s contact list only.

The feature has been extended to Orkut scraps/feeds as well and now one can share scraps with friend list only.

In my opinion, Orkut should have added another level of filter i.e. filter based on friendship type (haven’t met/acquaintances/best friends etc) – the current implementation is applicable to the entire friend list and if you are a serious Orkutter, I am sure you pay attention to (and have categorized) your friend list.

Wondering whether this will impact those “profile wanderers” looking for “friends”?

What’s your take on these newly added features?

Interesting features..and I agree with you that they need to add lot more filters..the current ones just don’t seem to make sense..infact its as good as saying “all your contacts are the same” – but that defies Orkut’s categorization of contacts!
