VC firm Walden to re-enter India

SFO based VC firm Walden is re-entering India after a five year break.walden

Walden has an interesting investment portfolio – Bluelithium (acquired by y!), Glam media, Pandora, comedy.com etc – typically focused on financing early stage companies in industry sectors such as communications, electronics/digital consumer, software & IT services, and semiconductors.

Rajesh Subramaniam, the erstwhile Chief Financial Officer of Firstsource Solutions will head Walden’s India operations.

Walden has over $1.6 billion (Rs 672 crore) in committed capital and earlier invested in MindTree consulting.

    1. Cool News . Didn’t knew that BlueLithium is a Portfolio company of Walden . the Promoters of Blue Lithium and Glam Media are indian . and Specially BlueLithium Guy Gurbaksh G Chahal is a celebrity of sorts . Will look forward to see where they invest in india .
