ValueFirst raises $6mn from NEA

Valuefirst, the bulk sms provider has raised $6mn from NEA.

ValueFirst, which currently offers SMS-based services, is planning to introduce internet and voice based services for the mobile platform in India.The fund will be used to expand operations (VFirst is currently in India, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, SriLanka, UAE and UK) – source.

      I have heard that Bangalore based healthcare start-up healthcaremagic.com also raised decent funding (range of 2.5 Mn USD) from Matrix… It is nice to see innovative start-ups getting funded in the middle of this crunch.
