Ojas Venture partners ($35mn fund that earlier invested in Ziva abd Tyfone) has invested
an undisclosed amount in Mango Technologies, Bangalore based startup.
Mango Technologies has developed a unique & thinnest modular application & UI framework, which considerably reduces engineering effort and time spent on development and integration.
The Mango solutions are ready for the ULC/entry level phone segment with highly rich user experience and few patent pending technologies in SMS based download and user experience categories.
Mango’s App platform empowers OEM s/ODM s/Chipset Vendors/ Operators with the flexibility to churn out handsets with varied flavors of UI and applications in considerably short time. Mango Application Framework addresses the low footprint UI and Application needs of niche market phones with considerable reduction in the integration with the underlying hardware platform.
Essentially, rich features like LBS/search/mobile banking/navigation etc, that are available to only high-end phones can be made available in low-end phones using Mango’s platform.

High-end phone vs low-end phone !!!
“”Essentially, rich features like LBS/search/mobile banking/navigation etc, that are available to only high-end phones can be made available in low-end phones using Mango’s platform.”"
The rich features mentioned above are now available in many phones (not necessarily costly high end phones). A phone with these features (excluding GPS hardware) can be bought in around 3K Rs.
So I was just wondering how low the cost of low-end phone will be ? Don’t think I will get one in 200 Rs ? lol.
