MayField Raises $110mn India Fund

MayField Fund, the US based VC fund has raised $110mn India fund to focus on growth equity opportunities in the Indian tech, infrastructure and consumer sectors.

Mayfield, earlier partnered with SeedFund and the India fund will focus on investments in the range of $5-10mn.

To date, the team has invested in six India-domiciled companies including:

  • Technology providers: Tejas Networks and Paymate;
  • Consumer service providers: Consim Info and Genesis Colors;
  • Infrastructure providers: Geodesic Systems and Servomax.

Quite a flurry of activity in the funding scene in India:

Having said that, very few funds are really focusing on early stage startups – that too in tech sector.
