Educomp buys 50% stake in Eurokids for $8.7mn

Education services firm Educomp Solutions Ltd has acquired 50 %stake in Mumbai-based EuroKids International Pvt Ltd for 390 million rupees to expand in pre-school education. Both the firms will jointly take EuroKids pre-school network to 1,000 from existing 450 over the next 3 years [via Reuters]

Eurokid has a strong presence and brand name in early child care education, while Educomp has 52 franchise in pre-school segment.

Educomp earlier made couple of acquisitions in the recent times:

  • Learning.com for 24.5mn$
  • AuthorGen Technologies’ wiziq.com (51% stake)
  • Singapore based Ask n learn for $8.7mn
  • A-plus education service for $4.2mn (76% stake)
  • ThreeBrix Services
